Florida 400 and PRI Sprint and Midget Classic Photo Gallery

I am trailing "The Man of Steele" in this photo.

I eventually passed him to lead the race for a few laps. I had a shot at winning the race but slipped and bumped the wall, that bent the panhard bar and made the car push awfully. I was lucky to hang on for 3rd place. Not a bad finish for my first sprint car race.

Bobby Santos and me.

I'm not sure when this is in the race, Bobby Santos and me were close to each other a lot during the Florida 400. The Santos' pitted next to us and the whole family are the nicest folks you will ever meet.

Practice:

I was very fast in practice, the car seemed much easier to drive than I thought it would be.

Florida 400

Here is a nice shot of me during the race.

Qualifying

I qualified 7th for the Florida 400. I ran faster in practice but didn't get all the car had in it for qualifying. Jack says we can win from 7th so we are all happy.

Jacob Wilson

I am all smiles after qualifying. I know that 7th will be fast enough to lock me in to the field.

Another shot of me and the car after qualifying 7th.

PRI Sprint and Midget Classic

Here I am practicing for the PRI race. This will be my second time in a sprint car and most of the big names are here.

PRI Practice

Here I am in practice again, the Orlando Speedworld track was really slippery. I struggled to get fast here.

Qualifying at Orlando Speedworld

I really wanted to do well at the PRI Sprint and Midget Classic so everyone would know my 3rd place finish the week before wasn't a fluke; but the track seemed so slick I had major trouble getting fast. Jack and I talked things over and made a change to the car that really helped. I qualified 7th fast and thankfully was locked in to the feature event.

PRI Race

This is during the race, I thought the track would tighten up after the sun went down but it never did. I was up to 5th place in the race but let Aaron Pierce and Kody Swanson get past me on a restart when I spun the wheels to much. I ended up a respectable 7th.
